No approved GCSE specifications

As of December, the 3rd draft of the new specifications is with OFQUAL. They are going to limit the number of times students can resit exams - perhaps the same rule should apply to examiners? I've yet to see questions that really address the criticisms of the existing GCSE. Moreover, given the promised Government 'fundamental review', what's the sense in changing things now, only to move the goal posts again in a couple of years?
